By the beginning of February, patient census
reached over 400, choppers continued to
deliver the injured and the campus hosted
a weekly average of 100 volunteers. “It
appears that we are one of the few hospitals
in Haiti that can care for the patients with
complications that have occurred from lack of
treatment for the past two weeks. The people
arriving at our hospital are sicker than last
week and require more intensive treatment,”
stated Peter Kelly, M.D. “It is amazing what we
have accomplished. Thousands of people have
contributed to our ability to provide care for
the victims of this catastrophe and fulfill our
Malta mission to care for the sick and poor.”
